how does the selection take place?

admission to the master’s program involves a selection process that assesses candidates’ knowledge, design skills, and motivation.
the selection includes:

  • written and oral test on general culture, with a focus on art, architecture, and design history

  • freehand drawing test, to assess expressive skills and visual sensitivity

  • portfolio evaluation (if available), to analyze the candidate’s background and creative potential

  • aptitude interview, to explore motivation, critical thinking, and design vision

enrollment for the master's programs opens in april 2025.

what qualification is awarded at the end of the master’s program?

upon completion, a marionannischolé master diploma is issued, certifying the completion of an advanced training program in the field of interdisciplinary design and light research. the diploma confirms the acquisition of technical and methodological skills applicable in fields such as architecture, design, lighting design, and visual arts, providing tools for an innovative and critical approach to design. the program, strongly oriented toward experimentation and multidisciplinarity, prepares participants to face complex scenarios, with particular focus on the integration of technology, material, and the language of light
